Sunshine

The cheeriest of basket blocks, guaranteed to brighten up a bed or sofa and begging to be taken on a picnic! There are two options for this pattern: one using a Layer Cake and one using Fat Quarters.
 
MATERIALS:
 
58” square quilt
 
1 Layer Cake plus 3 Fat Quarters
or 48 10” squares
1 yd contrast fabric for sashing
2 yds background fabric
66” square of cotton batting
3¾ yds of backing fabric
½ yd of binding fabric
 
Spring Sunshine version:
 
4 Fat Quarters of daffodil yellow prints
¼ yd orange print for the coronas
½ yd green print for the leaves
¾ yd blue print for the baskets
1 yd aqua print for the sashing
2 yds background fabric
66” square of cotton batting
3¾ yds of backing fabric
½ yd of binding fabric
