All the fun of the...Festival...

I've been home for two days but my head is still spinning from everything I saw and experienced at my first Festival of Quilts as an exhibitor. And truth be told, I'm aching a bit.

My stand was a snug two metres square, but I managed to cram in a sample of every CakeStand Quilts pattern, as well as my Moda Bakeshop and blog tutorial projects.

My Honeybee cushion got lots of love.

I'll be posting next week about the nuts and bolts - or should that be screws and bungee cords - of putting an exhibition stand together...

...as well as all the things I'd do differently next time: it's been a steep but rewarding learning curve. And there will be a next time. Mainly because my favourite thing about the whole experience was talking to fellow quilters about our shared obsession. The exhibition hall was alive with the hum of happy chatter and laughter for the whole of the four days.

But for the next few days, I think the mice have the right idea...
